Algae Extract
Algae is a natural ingredient that soothes and moisturizes skin. It also provides a protective barrier from the elements. Algae also contains trace minerals, B vitamins, Vitamin E, and powerful antioxidants that help protect your skin and fight premature aging.

Glycolic Acid
Glycolic acid is an alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) that helps to exfoliate dead skin cells to reveal fresh, younger looking skin. AHAs work by breaking down the materials that hold skin cells together. Due to the increased exfoliation, they can help to fade skin spots while giving you a smoother, more even skin tone. When using glycolic acid and other AHAs, always remember to use sunscreen. Your freshly exfoliated skin will need sun protection.

Lactic Acid
Lactic acid is another potent alpha hydroxy acid. It is generally non-irritating, but powerful. It moisturizes skin while exfoliating and promoting collagen growth. It helps to even out skin tone and reduce acne scars.

Willow Bark
Willow bark, aspirin's ancient, original ancestor, contains salicin, a powerful anti-inflammatory and astringent that helps banish redness and irritation, so you will see only lovely, fresh skin after a good scrub. Willow bark also has anti-microbial and exfoliating properties. A winning ingredient for all skin types!  Ask your doctor about using this ingredient if you are allergic to aspirin or are pregnant.

Synthetic Beads
These perfectly round little spheres gently remove old cells without irritating, tearing and otherwise harming your skin. Synthetic beads suit all skin types and work fantastically on sensitive skin that coarse walnut shells and other natural exfoliants can damage.

However, you don't need to choose one ingredient over another because the best body scrubs include all of these ingredients. Our KP Duty body scrub contains non-abrasive synthetic beads, lactic acid, glycolic acid, algae extract and willow bark, making it ideal for all skin types.
