Lice

Lice are highly contagious and best treated with a medicated shampoo or creme rinse. Premethrin is the active ingredient in both Nix and Rid. Both are safe for use even on children and will not cause problems with neurotoxicity as some prescription products may.

Removal of the eggs, called nits, is also very important. The egg loosener gel found in the Comb-out Kit can help with that. Don't forget the importance of treating your household to completely erradicate this nasty parasite.
