Clarify blotchy, uneven skin discoloration, age spots and melasma. Immaculate Correction dramatically improves cellular renewal in addition to firming & brightening the skin.
Our hydroquinone-free rejuvenation treatment, takes aim at blotchy skin discoloration while firming and toning aging skin and improving the appearance of fine wrinkle lines.
Regardless of the cause of skin discoloration be it from old acne (PIH/post inflammatory hyperpigmentation), skin trauma, sun damage (such as freckles or "liver spots") or hormonal causes (melasma); Immaculate Correction is your prescription for luminous, spotless skin. Overachieving melanocytes trigger irregular skin tone. These pigment-producing cells become stimulated by the enzyme tyrosinase, producing extra melanin, resulting in patchy skin discoloration.
The goal of skin bleaching is to turn off melanin production and eliminate unwanted pools of pigment already present in the skin.
Immaculate Correction contains non-irritating active ingredients that take aim at tyrosinase activity while accelerating cellular turnover via gentle non-acidic chemical exfoliation. Together, these help improve the appearance of unwanted dark spots whether the result of melasma, age spots, inflammation or simply too much time spent in the sun.

What is Immaculate Correction used for?
Immaculate Correction treats hyperpigmented areas of the skin due to photo damage, melasma and scarring.
What are the active ingredients in Immaculate Correction?
Immaculate Correction contains a synergistic blend of skin brightening and rejuvenating agents to maximize visible improvement. Mitracarpus Scaber Extract, Bearberry Extract, Beta-Carotene, Dithiaoctanediol and Gluconic Acid inhibit and regulate tyrosinase activity, preventing further local abnormal pigment formation and aids enhanced cellular turnover. Immaculate Correction also contains Azelaic Acid and Licorice Extract to assist in further depigmenting the skin.
Can I use Immaculate Correction during pregnancy?
Yes, Immaculate Correction is safe for use during pregnancy or while nursing.
Does Immaculate Correction contain the bleaching ingredient Hydroquinone?
No, Immaculate Correction does not contain Hydroquinone.
How do I apply Immaculate Correction?
Ideally, you would apply Immaculate Correction twice daily on cleansed skin. If your skin is dry, you can apply a moisturizer on top. It is imperative that a full spectrum sunscreen is applied daily, with reapplication being necessary every 2 hours or so when out in direct sun light.
I get sunscreen in my moisturizer and foundation; why do I still need a sunscreen?
The typical standard answer would be "NO", as many times; these products are not as thoroughly applied to the skin, as a sunscreen would be. Many times either make-up or moisturizers may be spot-applied, so I consider the presence of SPF in these products to be "icing on the cake".
Why is sunscreen so important with use of Immaculate Correction?
Sun protection is crucial. The sun will try to darken up the areas you are working so hard to bleach. Sunscreen with a minimum SPF of 15 that protects against both UVA and UVB is ideal. Dr. Kunin recommends DERMAdoctor Body Guard Exquisitely Light SPF 30.
How long before I start noticing results from use of Immaculate Correction?
With use of any treatment product, it is best to allow 4-6 weeks of continued use. Each case of skin discoloration, however and time may vary a few weeks earlier or later than the 4-6 weeks, depending on your baseline skin tone and the length you have had the discoloration.
Is it normal for the skin to peel during treatment with Immaculate Correction?
Yes, Immaculate Correction speeds up cell turnover rate. Skin peeling and/or flaking is normal and can be expected with its use. The peeling indicates increased exfoliation, bringing the discoloration closer to the surface. While unpleasant to endure, this side effect will subside with continued use. Remember to apply a broad spectrum SPF 30 daily.
