What comes in this kit? This limited edition kit contains 1 tube of Step 1: KP Duty Body Scrub (4 oz) and 1 tube of Step 2: KP Duty Dry Skin Therapy Cream.
How are these products used?KP Duty Scrub is used 2-4 times weekly to help exfoliate the surface skin. It works best when applied to dry skin. The easiest way to do this is to apply in the shower, prior to turning on the water. The KP Duty Cream is your leave-on treatment. It should be applied to clean, dry skin twice daily, everyday. Once your Keratois Pilaris (KP) symptoms get under control, you may cut back frequency of use to every-other-day. In time, some can even reduce usage to 2-3 times weekly and this is enough to keep their symptoms under control. It really depends on how severe your individual case of KP is with regard to what sort of maintenance routine to follow once the initial symptoms get under control.
Can these products cure my Keratosis Pilaris?Unfortunately not. Since keratosis pilaris is genetically predetermined, it may not be curable but should be controllable. There is no reason to passively take a wait and see approach. After all, there's no guarantee that you'll outgrow it. And while most with KP may not realize there really is something they can do about it, KP can really traumatize some sufferers.
How long do I have to use these products before I will start to see an improvement? We recommend continuous use for 3-4 weeks before an improvement can be seen. Keep in mind that if your case is more severe in nature, you may need 6-8 weeks of use before an improvement can be seen. For those with a mild case of KP, we have reports of some seeing results in as little as a week!
Can these products be used by someone who is pregnant or nursing?Yes, KP Duty products can be used by those who are pregnant or nursing. It is also okay to use on children ages 2 and up. For children 2 and under, it is best to first speak to their physician.
