To help you beat the heat, we're sharing a few of our favorite warm weather tips:

Rethink your moisturizer – The cold winds and indoor heat of winter can dry skin out, and have you reaching for thick, lush lotions. However, the summer humidity and glaring sun should have you lightening up on moisturizer. While you should always moisturize your skin, during the summer months you may want to reach for a lighter and/or oil-free face lotion. We suggest Ain't Misbehavin' skin clarifying & mattifying sunscreen SPF 30 to nourish and protect skin from the suns' glare.

Amp up your cleanser – the heat, humidity and sweat can do a number on your pores. While you scale back on heavy creams, you may find a need for a heartier face cleanser. If your regular face wash doesn't seem to be doing its job, and you're seeing more blackheads and breakouts, it might be time to rev up your wash. Check out Kakadu C Brightening Daily Cleanser to get a thorough but gentle wash that removes impurities, makeup and excess oils.

Cool things down – During the dog days of summer, the last thing you want to do is slather a warm lotion on your skin. Perk up your mornings and nights by storing your face and eye creams in the refrigerator. Clear a little space in your fridge door for your daily products and make sure they are tightly sealed. Then enjoy the cooling sensation of your chilled beauty items all season long.

Protect every inch – You should be applying your sun protection every day no matter what the season, but spend a few minutes during the summer to make sure every bit of your body is protected. Cancerous legions are known to pop up in the most unexpected places, so be sure to cover every last bit of skin – the backs of your arms, tips of your ears, tops of you feet and every inch in between.

Check your labels – Did you know that products with SPF have an expiration date? It won't do you any good to cover your skin with a sunscreen that has lost its effectiveness. Now is the time to check your labels and make sure your sunscreen is still in its prime. Toss any questionable products and replace with the highest SPF you can find. The cost is well worth the peace of mind.

Now that you've made a few seasonal changes to your skincare routine, get out there and enjoy the sunshine!
